  • Divert Your Attention: The environmental triggers that can affect the way one feels and behaves can cause depression. It affects personal and professional relationships and deteriorates mental health. Individuals who start to feel stressed should take a walk or call a friend to distract themselves.
  • Change Your Environment: The dim lightening can affect the mood. Thus, people who feel anxious should use bright lights in their room and listen to upbeat music to feel positive and normal.
  • Listen to Music: The upbeat music helps change the environment, cheer up the mood, and instantly creates a positive vibe. The change in the surroundings can help overcome anxiety and negativity.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: The therapist helps the individual understand the negative thought patterns, which affect the behavior and cause anxiety, positive thinking helps the individual remain positive, active, and productive in every aspect of life.
  • Seek Support from Close Friends and Family Members: Connecting with friends and family members can help the person feel strong due to a healthy support system. It allows them to talk about their feelings and problems.
  • Invest Time to Write a Journal: Journal writing helps individuals understand themselves better. People should mention things they are grateful for and their personal accomplishments. The reminder helps them feel worthy and positive.
  • Engage in Physical Activities: Exercise helps regulate hormones and reduces the risk of depression and other physical health problems. Endorphins help enhance the mood, which reduces anxiety. A morning walk can help the person feel fresh and productive throughout the day. Hence, it is best to maintain a healthy lifestyle to enhance mental and physical health.
  • Monitor the Dietary Habits: The omega-3 enriched food are known to reduce the risk of depression and bipolar disorders. Thus, individuals should include oily fish in their diet to enhance mental health.
  • Healthy Sleeping Habits: Inadequate sleep can affect mood and cause irritability and stress. Thus, people must sleep on time and wake up early in the morning to manage their personal and professional commitments. Individuals should sleep for at least 6-8 hours daily to stay fresh, active, and productive.

Individuals who cannot complete their everyday tasks and remain agitated for more than two weeks are more likely to suffer from depression and related complications. Thus, it is essential to seek professional help to manage the symptoms. People should consult a psychiatrist in Karachi for guidance regarding lifestyle modifications that can help enhance their productivity. The changes will help increase productivity and give a sense of contentment.
