The more sweet that you bring, the more important it becomes . The effect lasts on or after the wedding day .
And yes, other than the wedding ceremony, what to take in other invitations? Sweet, of course! You have to take sweets when you go to a party. And for the householder, it is quite convenient to diversify the dessert after the meal . Usually when you go to a friend’s or relative’s house, it is sweet. Besides, there must be a sweet sherbet to welcome the guest .

The question is sweet honey, or poisonous?
Please stop! Don’t get me wrong . It’s all true . Traditionally we have been in a sweet favorite or sweet-based culture .

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and the silent killer sugar acts as a catalyst for this disease . Excessive sugar intake in foods or the widespread presence of a type of sugar called fructose (fruit sugars) in sugary drinks increases appetite, leading to obesity, inadequate insulin production and a variety of physical ailments . The amount of sugar we eat and processed foods every day is really alarming . One study found that the average American eats 22 teaspoons of sugar, which is equivalent to 350 calories . In 2016, the global per capita sugar consumption rate was 12-16 kg per day on an average . In 2024, the per capita rate will increase to 19.6 kg .
Sugar is an essential ingredient in 99% of processed foods for added profit and added appeal . Food manufacturers ensure the right amount of ingredients, especially the amount of sugar, until the consumer reaches the goal of maximum desired taste . In the language of market economy it is called ‘Bliss Point’. Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals . When the manufacturer is sure that the buyer has set the desired level, which will bring him more sales and the desired profit, then he markets it . In this process it is possible for the company to make huge profits .
An article published in the June 1, 2021 issue of The Business Standard contains some disturbing information. According to the article , the sugar industry in Bangladesh has risen to Tk 20,000 crore . Also banned is sodium cyclamate, locally known as ‘condensed sugar’ which is available in packets and open market . Because it is available cheaply, confectioners and bakeries use it in confectionery products . Isn’t this information a terrible signal for consumers? For sweet traders, there may be benefits everywhere, but think of the disadvantages as well, the side effects that consumers have to go through because of this are extremely frightening . Too much sugar and too much sugar is the cause of many diseases .In addition to making life miserable with a variety of risky diseases, financial spending on healthcare will increase . It will have a lot of bad effects on human life .
So isn’t this the right time to change our food tastes and traditions?
Since sugary foods have no health benefits, it is wise to refrain from such foods . For breakfast, cereals, added flavored instant oatmeal or bakery bread (bread) are used in excess sugar .
In addition, it is better to refrain from eating foods that are high in sugar .
Did you know that when we eat rice, our nutrients enter our body as glucose and increase the amount of sugar in the blood? Rice, pasta, flour, milk, yogurt, potatoes, biscuits, corn and soft drinks contain sugars or carbohydrates . You may be surprised to know that 90 grams of rice works with 22 teaspoons of sugar, which greatly increases the amount of blood sugar .
Hopefully, now that some people have become health conscious, they try to buy healthier products when they go to the market . At the same time to save time, they buy processed foods and processed foods, unfortunately sugar in food products has different names. So it is very difficult for buyers to identify it .
