A doctor of Indian descent has been accused of sexually harassing 46 women for 35 years. He is a renowned physician in Britain. The 62-year-old doctor named Krishna Singh has also been honored as a Member of the British Empire (MBE).
Krishna Singh is a Scottish physician. According to Scottish Police sources, incidents of sexual harassment occurred between 1983 and 2016. Most of them are in the doctors’ chambers in North Lanarkshire. He is also accused of sexually harassing patients at hospitals and even at home.
Allegations of kissing female patients in the name of treatment, touching different parts of their bodies on the pretext of examination, and even talking indecently with female patients have been leveled against the doctor.
The sexual harassment case has reached the Glasgow High Court. Plaintiff Singh’s lawyer, Angela Gray, told the court that sexual harassment of women had become a daily habit of Doctor Singh. “Sometimes he sexually harassed female patients, either indirectly or directly,” she said. Although Singh has denied all the allegations. His counter-claim is that patients are lying. He did what he was taught during his medical training in India. Singh also claimed that false allegations were being made against him.
In 2016, a female doctor filed a sexual harassment complaint against Singh. Police have been investigating the matter ever since. They claim that 54 complaints have been lodged against the doctors. Most of them are accused of sexual harassment and indecent behavior.
